About the event
We live in communities exposed to hazards, but there are a range of actions we can take within our neighbourhoods to limit impacts and exposure to future emergencies.
Join Top of the South Neighbourhood Support for a free 2-hour info session supported by local authorities and experts on the hazards and risks in your neighbourhood, how climate change is impacting these hazards and actions your neighbourhood can take to become resilient and prepared.
Receive practical tools and knowledge that you can use with your neighbours to develop resilience & preparedness plans to better prepare your street for hazards and emergencies as well as climate adaptation. The workshop is supported by joint Council’s Climate Change Advisory, Civil Defence, NZ Police, Fire and Emergency NZ and Age Concern.
Register for your place on Monday 4 December at 7pm at the Saxton Oval Pavilion Stoke here https://forms.office.com/r/idPkuXX3h1 or email Aniquah@neighbourhoodsupport.nz to secure a place.
