Spreading kindness one random act at a time
Top of the South Neighbourhood Support recently partnered with Multicultural Youth Nelson Tasman (MYNT) to develop and deliver ‘Random Acts of Kindness’.
The young people of MYNT wanted to do something special for the residents at a local retirement village, sharing parts of their culture for a special afternoon presentation.
They performed traditional Indian and Nepalese dances, played charades, sang songs with the residents and served delicious homemade treats. Pocket-sized cards were also created, with motivating quotes and actions, which could be “passed on” from letter box to letter box within neighbourhood support networks.
If you would like to spread kindness (when it is COVID safe to do so) email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you some cards.
